Horses have played a major role in my life since I was a child, which is why the training as a veterinary technician at the Equine Clinic Leichlingen GmbH fulfilled my dream of turning my hobby into a profession.
In addition to the desire to work with horses, I have always been interested in veterinary medicine. The health and well-being of my four-legged patients are the fundamental pillars for a long and happy life.
So I decided get training as a horse physiotherapist in order to supplement my conventional medical knowledge with alternative treatment options, so that our horse patients can receive holistic care and treatment.
During my training at the clinic, I found not only an excellent teacher and mentor in Katja Shell, but also a real important friend, so working with her is a true enrichment.
Thanks to our longstanding cooperation, we are a well-coordinated team, work routinely and support each other equally. My physiotherapeutic knowledge can often offer new approaches or perspectives. Like that, disease processes can be viewed and assessed from different perspectives and the horse can be treated accordingly.
